So I hate posting things out of order because it drives me crazy. But everyone keeps bugging me to post this so I promise I'll go back and fill in the blanks but until then here's what I've been up to. I've decided to get onto th couponing bandwagon and it's sooooo fun. Anyway, by watching for sales, clipping manufacturer coupons and combining it with the stores double coupons I'm "stealing" groceries! Not really but it feels like it. Today I made a trip to albertsons to stock up on snack foods that I'll for sure be using over the summer. Here's the list
2 Boxes of Honey Maid Graham Crackers
2 Bags of Toasted Wheat Thins
2 Bags of Toasted Ritz Crackers
1 Box of Ritz Crackers
4 boxes of Ritz Bitz Crackers (2 peanut butter 2 cheese)
2 Boxes of Wheat Thins
2 Boxes of Triscuts
2 Boxes of Pop Tarts
2 A-1 Sauces
2 16 oz. Nalley Pickle Jars
2 Healthy Choice freezer dinners
4 Packages of Bar S Hot dogs
2 Packages of 6 Hershey Chocolate Bars (12 total! :))
2 Bags of jet Puff Marshamallows
Drum Roll Please................................................................
I Paid for all of this added together 19.87. Add in the chicken and I paid $43.20
If I had walked into the store without a single coupon I would have paid $162.09 (including the chicken)I saved $118.89 by using coupons and store customer cards.
In addition to this I purchased 12 lbs. of boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.88/lb. WOW
Just thought I'd share. I usually try to make my menu around items on sale which I did earlier this week. This was an additional trip that I made in addition to my normal shopping just because I could get so much for so little. So don't worry, we're still eating nice and yummy dinners that I"m getting on sale. I promise we're not eating wheat thins for dinner.
